Why Every Hair Color Formula Should Be Custom
Every hair color formula is customized to complement each client's natural color, skin tone, and maintenance goals.
One of the things that surprises new clients is when they see me mixing their color.
They'll often ask, "Do you use the same formula on everyone?"
The answer is...never.
In fact, I don't think I've ever had two clients with exactly the same formula.
Hair Color Isn't One-Size-Fits-All
Every head of hair is different.
Your natural color, the amount of gray you have, your hair texture, previous color history, skin tone, eye color, and even how quickly your hair grows all influence the formula I create.
That's why I don't believe in pulling a formula off a shelf and using it on everyone.
Every appointment starts with the person sitting in my chair.
Your Formula Changes Over Time
One thing many clients don't realize is that your color formula isn't necessarily meant to stay the same forever.
Your hair changes.
Gray increases.
Hair texture changes.
Sometimes your skin tone changes with the seasons. Sometimes you decide you want softer dimension, brighter highlights, or lower maintenance.
As those things change, your color should change too.
Hair Color Is Part Science, Part Art
Creating beautiful hair color is one of my favorite parts of being a hairstylist.
There is certainly science involved, but there's also creativity.
I'm constantly thinking about balance.
Depth.
Warmth.
Brightness.
Dimension.
How everything works together to complement your features while still looking natural.
Beautiful Color Doesn't Have to Look Like "Color"
One of my favorite compliments is when someone tells a client,
"Your hair looks beautiful."
Not,
"I like your hair color."
The goal isn't for people to notice the color itself.
The goal is for them to notice how healthy, natural, and beautiful your hair looks.
My Formula Starts With Listening
Before I ever mix color, I want to understand what you're hoping to achieve.
Do you want complete gray coverage?
Would you like softer grow-out?
More brightness around your face?
Something easier to maintain?
The answers to those questions help guide every decision I make.
Because creating beautiful hair isn't about using the same formula.
It's about creating the right formula for you.
Let's Create a Color That's Yours
No two clients are exactly alike.
Your hair color shouldn't be either.
Together, we'll create a custom color plan designed around your hair, your lifestyle, and the way you want to feel every time you look in the mirror.
